New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandru Eugen in the 8th minute of play. In the 8th minute Alexandru Eugen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Roman Major in the 11th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by PALMEIRAS-UTAH's Leonardo Frazier. After some careless play in the PALMEIRAS-UTAH defense, Edgardo Silva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peter Steele. The PALMEIRAS-UTAH fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peter Steele should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute Alexandru Eugen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Steele having to interfere. Peter Steele stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgardo Silva's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Eugen in the 25th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jack Lukas in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeremy Nicholas saved New England Minas from getting behind. 28 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Lukas came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandru Eugen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, PALMEIRAS-UTAH's Leonardo Frazier got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Peter Steele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glen Conklin in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Eugen in the 36th minute of play forced New England Minas's goalkeeper Jeremy Nicholas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgardo Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Steele read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Tony Pacheco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Peter Steele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. New England Minas's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
