I know many who have or will leave Power Soccer with a Phd in cheating, but I will leave this game with many lessons. I think Power Soccer is full of the skills that can promote:Persistence, kindness, resilience, leadership etc...
No, I'm not joking, in a way Power Soccer has made me a gentler and kinder person.
How so ? Everytime I log on I have people coming at me asking me How I am doing?being nice to me on all occasion they treat me with respect.sometimes I feel like I'm on top of the world just by the way some treat me here, and as you all know we are the product of our environment, I try to emulate these good behaviours, I think you should do too because they can be very helpful in real life.
Attitude/Respect/Mistakes
A positive attitude can make your time here more enjoyable. Pleasant people generally make other people feel good.
Treat other people just like you want them to treat you. This respect for others and their feelings will reflect back to you. Remember that you have to earn respect from others. It is not automatically given, many have earn my respect in may ways; Their behaviour in the gamerooms, what they write in the forums, etc...
If you make a mistake, admit it and vow NOT to let it repeat. Use that mistake as a learning experience, We all make mistake, so don't put yourself down if it happens as I said admit it , and learn from the experience to not repeat it. I have done things here that I'm not really proud of, but somehow somehow those mistakes help me become a better user. Don't get me wrong I'm not asking you to go do bad stuff,
what I'm saying is if you've already make a Faux pas try to get a lesson from it.
Boost self-confidence
Building self-confidence is readily achievable, just as long as you have the focus and determination to carry things through. And what's even better is that the things you'll do will build success- after all, your confidence will come from real, solid achievement. yes it, is a big deal when you win a match. Look at what you've already achieved here this might boost confidence: Pehaps you came top in an official cup, remember the 99er you have beaten, that excellent thread you have written, the user who lost to you at the very last minute . I think every single user have achieved something here, you may not even be aware of it, but believe me You've achieved something BIG here.
Persistance
Here's an illustration: The goal is 1600 RP, you've finally reached 1590 pretty closeisn't it ? Well guess what today you're about to go all the way down to 1502, so this example led me to believe that when you think success is just around the corner, this is when the real fights begin, the closer you are to reaching your goals the harder you have to fight.
A more focused person
If I'm playing a match and there's something that's distracting me, I always ended up being the loser, it seems like the more focus I am the greater is the possibility of winning.
A more Tenacious person:
What is tenacitty exactly? Tenacity is the quality of being determined to do or achieve something; firmness of purpose; many players have shown sign of tenacity , people such as soccerftw, Dragosciabanu..especially soccertw he was determined to reach 99 and now he is a 99er, reaching 99 was never on my agenda, why? I believe it was too hard , but now I no longer see it that way. If he can do why can't I ??The remedy : Be tenacious, you want something fight for it, Never, never, never give up!" you can't sit there and wait.
Well, I'm not going to pretend that it's all good about Power Soccer, we all Know
it's NOT, there's a minority that cheats/lags/disrespectful. but can we actually learn something from these uncomfortable predicaments? I believe so.
What can we learn from the cheaters ?
they made me realize that sometimes we will fail not because we didn't try hard enough, but because somebody was there to deny us of what's rightfully ours.
What I learnt from Lag
There will be incovenient moment in life, when even trying your best won't do no good, no need to waist your energy by giving it a 100 %. because this particular problem cannot be tackle. All you have to do is hope that it doesn't come your way again.
Do you think I went a little too far by
comparing the game to real life ??
What are your disagreements ??

i agree with all this, i think a lot more then this tho like the forums are the building blocks to bigger achievements, but i rather stay with the building blocks forever :)

Yeah, I wanted to mention much more but, I
said ..ah the thread will be too long.forget it But there are a lot more.
what have I learned? Right now I do not have the highest opinion of PS. It has nothing to do with gameplay or the changes that have recently happened. It has to do with some of the appearances people put on. I have been personally disappointed by some people who I thought highly of and that has brought on some of my restlessness. I swear this is the last time I talk about this, but I am disappointed with some people who I thought were better.
So what I have learned is not to judge people on first appearances (even if your first impression is a positive one).
Nevertheless, no anger or hard feelings here :)
I have also learned about the world. Being part of such a diverse community, I have undoubtedly learned about other cultures and people. It has made me a more informed and better person, and I'm not just saying this to be all fuzzy and cheesy.

btw great post!
I talked about this, I find it hard to believe, that some have double personality
One to use in front of admn, the other one
is their true personality.

hehe first of all that is the first time i've seen you with the Lil Wayne picture and I had Limewire running and i had the Song im at war by sean Kingston Ft Lil wayne :)
Ok back to the thread.
What this game has tough me is what ever happens you just have to deal with it.. SOme things that you cannot do anything to affectg and others you can do something about..
But really i have not learned much.
I talked about this, I find it hard to believe, that some have double personality

yep. i have a low sportsmanship because I am not overly friendly during matches. I am stoic and I only talk when something needs to be said. But I have no regrets about that. If a word is worth a coin, silence is worth two.
Powersoccer has taught me life isnt fair people cheat get used to it.... everyone tries to cheat in life and thats how it well always be face it sooner and you well be less likley to be screwed over in life.
First of all-- you arnt ontop of the world. (that would be me) lol no but exactly your point-- some people treat you so nice on here you feel alot better when leaving.
Second. Power soccer, i believe that the "bad" outnumber the good. I find that there are not so many friendly people in here as before, and it is always common in gamerooms to find somebody who just swears and uses caps for the fun of it.
Also I am extreamly dissapointed, because i have heard that ______ wastes time in games. i would go into a cup and everybody in there would go "nooooo" because this person was so well respected for his/her skill that nobody wanted to play him/her. recently though (like i said uptop) many people agree that this person wastes time (essentally cheating) that saddens me greatly/
This along with so many great PS players leaving-- is very bad for the game. :(

I don't believe that's true, I think the
amount of good users are greater . I
know there are a lot of bad players.

Wow mate, really great thread, I agree with actually every point you mention here! I have definitely become a kinder and more determined person now because of this game. I used to play practical jokes that really annoyed my mates, but now I think before I do my actions, Power Soccer taught me that :) Now no one in reality finds me annoying xD
