This thread was made to discourage not only multiple accounters, but also those of us considering making even just one more account.
This is a long 'un, but what else do you expect from me?:P

I felt it was time for me to express my views on a much debated subject: multiple accounts. Personally my feeling towards it, is: Don't do it.

Now the reasons that people make multiple accounts are pretty obvious, and the main ones are:

~Admin
~Bored
~RP
~Fame

So I'll go through each reason, and explain my opinions...

1) Admin: Well it is pretty obvious, that this is pointless. Cause we can still see your bans, we know who your previous accounts are, and we do not forget that. So if you're thinking about making a new account because you want to have a better chance of being an admin, forget about it. Believe me, you have more of a chance, on your current account.
The less accounts you have, the better.


2) Bored: If you're are bored, well what is the point of starting again, when it is only going to be a lesser account than you have now? huh?
Your only going to regret starting again when you realize how much work you put into your first one, only to give it all up.
And many people who do this, often end up going back to their first account. So it's really not worth it.
Plus you'll be ripping people off when it comes to RP, as I explain below.


3) RP: (main reason for multiple accounting)

Basically, it is rather selfish and greedy, I shall explain why....

Selfishness: When you create a new account and start a new as a level 1, (with the masked experience of a level 40 or something) you're basically ripping people off. People who play you expecting your level to be the fair value of your skill. Of course it is not when you have had other accounts. This basically is unfair, but because it is not disallowed, many people do it. And now almost everyone is doing it. It is completely ruining the meaning of RP. So in the end, yes, if you make a new account, it is probable that you're going to have high RP. But this is seriously diluting the point of RP, which is to see who is the best player.
Think about it, if one player has had more chances at being the best, than the other has, it is basically pointless.
RP is gradually becoming a measure of how many accounts you have had, rather than your natural skill, which is a shame, and in my opinion, childish.
(before anyone calls me a hypocrite, I am an RP hater, am N/A out of free will, and I only have 1 account.)

Greed: Our "I want more!" mentality, along side selfishness is probably our most prominent fault in everyday life.
And yup, as usual, things do not change when it comes to Power-Soccer.
RP being the carrot, and like donkeys, most users will follow.
Basically when it comes to RP, when are you satisfied?......answer is "never".
You will never be really satisfied with what you have.
When you don't get to your "ultimate goal", all you want to do is start again. Take a think, what is your "ultimate goal"? Be number 1 in the world obviously.
But try and remember that only one person can be number 1.
Face the fact that you're most probably never going to get there. But I'm not saying give up or anything like that. Go try to get it. But be fair, don't start and start again, just so you can succeed. Really what satisfaction is there in that?
If your obsessed with goals, targets, why not head for level 99, and enjoy the RP ride on the way? That way you will not want to start over. That is what most of the great famous players do. I'm sure also, if you really want RP, that the mentality that you can not start again, that you do not have the option to make a new account, will make you try even harder, do better and get higher RP. Try it.

4) And lastly we come to Fame: If you're making a new account because you want fame, by becoming an admin, well as I explained above in "Admin" it is completely pointless.
And if you're making a new account because you want fame by way of RP, well as I said above in "RP", that's simply ripping people off, it is ruining the meaning of RP, and it is childish.
But still if you are obsessed with fame in Power-Soccer, carrying on with your account is the best thing to do. Try and reach that awesome 99er's club, or try and be a good respected user, as many popular, famous users have done.



So those are the 4 main reasons that people make new accounts and I hope my opinions will cause a few people to stop and think before they act.

Of course, there are occasions when creating a new account is needed. But since these occasions are the minority, I won't go into them here.

This may sound like I'm condemning multiple accounts. I am not. I am merely trying to discourage it.

Yep, great pints you got there Hed.
You only might have missed one. It is the reason for me to have two accounts. It is because I moved from Colombia to USA, so I would always get paired with people that live in South America. I would get lots of lag for doing that. Tha is why I have two accounts. Also, I travel a lot to Colombia to visit my relatives. So, I still have to use my first account to play.

Fantastic points here Hed, and well articulated. I hope people take this to heart. This rp quest and what not used to validate multiple accounts is on par with the quitters in my mind. This whole "I can't get my way and I can't win every game so I'll blame the game itself and break all the rules" mentality sets me aflame.

But people might also start over cause they don't like their team, or cause they didn't use their skill points right. That's what happened to me.
And I admit it gave me an advantage at first, I could easily beat other players, but now it's back to normal. Once I win, once I lose :)

Well you should be always be given a second chance of creating a new account if your first account is suspended right?

@betatester001 i dont think u should get a 2nd chance if your first 1 is supende bcause you did something to get you banned and youll probobly do it again

in ManagerZone you are always welcome to open a new account and get a new team when your first one is suspended. At least that was written in the manual.

You shouldn't always assume people will do it again. May be it is just a few mistakes, or few misunderstandings. Look at the case of bosnian000 for example.

very nice sum-up of what multi-accounting is all about (you'll do great in university).

You are however forgetting one point. Multi accounts are also used to move RP. Senseless and very long process and easily found out.

really good thread i dont really see the point of starting again in a new account because currently i am aiming to get to lvl 99 and then if i want to continue playing then i will keep playing on that account
