In game I have played, i have noticed something rather disturbing to me. When I have scored or attempted a shot, the player has always use the outside of his foot to shoot.
In reality, 1 out of every 23 shots uses the laces to attempt a shot at goal. 1 goal with the outside of the foot has a 15 percent chance of making the goal, let alone 23 percent getting it on target.
From personal experience, it is very hard and not just every can master it. This is a skill that takes much practice and coordination to master.
Part of this is due to the one footed-ness of all players. For example, if a player was a left winger, and he passed the ball along the ground into the box, they use the outside of the left foot to take a shot.
When i went to my power soccer teacher (chiefadmin1), he told me to check his highlight for a laces goal, i found one. powersoccer.com/?p=team&sub=view_highlight&highlig...
You are more successful to score with your laces than with the outside of your foot. Even on free kicks, you toe the ball just to get it off.
So this is my question: Can the editors of the game edit it so that taking a shot with the laces that precedence over the outside of foot shot?
If so, I thank you in advance and If not, i can understand.
Thank you,

in my opinion, the "outside" and the "laces" are visual representations of the same thing.
Would you preffer to see the vectors programmed?
I belive the crew considered the "outside" shooting looking nicer. And let this visual representation of shoot showing.
Nothing related to shooting efficiency, in the comparisson "outside vs laces"
If you want, is a simple convention.
If the main vectors generating the visual represeantation of the goal are the same, then the game can reflect even shooting with a snooker stick. It would be the same efficiency.

Well, i don't think it make much of a difference using different part of the foot to shoot the ball. This is not reality. In reality, striking the ball on different part of the ball enable the ball to go in different direction. Here, it does not make much of a difference. Here, it depend on how much power and curve you put on the ball and the direction and position you shoot.
Hey mate, I wonder whre you have the stats from saying how efficient these shots are in reality. However, this game is not that realistic when it comes to shooting animation, but like desmondnew said, that's is not important here. Shooting power and curving a shot are the keys to score, not whether you shoot with the "outside" or with the "laces".
