as you may now there have been riots in parts of England,London,Birmingham,Liverpool and Bristol. The prime minister cut his holiday short to come back.
They are increasing the number of police officers in London if you watch the videos on sky news and bbc news you will be able to see the destruction. The bombarded shops and got phones TVs ect it was really worse in clapham and in croydon one of the oldest buildings were burned down and there could be more riots in the days to come.

Im in london at the moment, very close to croydon. yesterday was scary, police sirens wailing the whole time and gangs of youth on the streets. This is plain thuggism and I hope the police get it under control fast.

Ah, gotta love thugs.

Hope everyone stays safe. I would hate to see England have the type of trouble other places have.

I'm not going to say were I am, but I am very close to the riots...

It started with a man being shot, then a gang of people went to the police asking for asnwers but the policeman that was there replied to a females question with violence... and police should be setting an example.

But at the same time a lot of the people involved are just adolescents that are just looking to cause trouble rather than to protest.

Well, shame about what's going on across the seven, hope the rioters stop asap. Police are on standby in Cardiff but it is doubtful that it will spread here.

Watching the news was shocking. My Auntie and my Cousin live in London and they're quite close to the rioting. Hope they're Ok

I dont think you understand the situation. These people dont have demands. They just saw their chance to get some wealth and consumer items and grabbed it without another thought. This isnt political. This is criminal.

I completely agree with this statement above but what really saddnes me is some people have lost there homes some have lost there businesses which is truly sad.

Last night i was watching Sky News and they was speaking to rioters in mnachester one of them said some our doing it because the lack of things for them in life e.g jobs and money but surely they should realise the way they act they will never get these type of things but there to thick to realise this.

I know some people who i know who have been out of work for 2 months sometimes more because they haven't been able to find a job do you se them rioting no you don't do you these people are using excuses like this for just plain thuggism as some have said.

Where the hell our the parent's in all this the reason your getting people like this youth rioting is because the way they have been brought up is not right to bring up a kid you got to teach them the rights and wrong's in life because baically your getting people who was not really brought up correctly bringing up kids the same way they was brought up so basically your getting low life making there kids into ones.

So yes a step in the right direction is for parents to bring there kids up the right way e.g rights and wrongs in life and then you will see less things like these happening imo.

Makes me so mad these type of people rioting but it's the world we live in currently that idiots like these exist but we must come down hard on them and they must be punished

read what people are saying before jumping to what you think might have happened, don't you think the people in the country of what is happening know more about it than you?

i'm not meaning this in a horrible way, it's just the truth.

this is how you deal with a riot if it's you against the large number of rioters:

Saw it in the newspaper. Hopefully thing will soon be settled. Somemore this incident is causing question about the olympic game that will be held there next year. Question is being asked about the security. England have always been one of my favourite countries and hopefully the problem will soon be settled.

I first heard about all this from an italian guy I met on holiday. It is quite embarassing actually when you tell someone what country you're from and the first thing they link it with is "oh, I hear London isn't doing too well with all these riots". I'm glad that it appears to be over.
